Heather Paulson’s Nomination Announced as member of the Formation Advisory Board (FAB) of the Performance Marketing Alliance!
I am very excited to have been nominated to be on the Formation Advisory Board (FAB) of the Performance Marketing Alliance. The need in the affiliate marketing industry for a formalized voice and organizational structure has been heralded for years, now with issues such as the New York affiliate tax the need has grown to the birth of the official Performance Marketing Alliance. Wayne Porter was also nominated and has written an excellent article on Revenews.com you can read here.
The Performance Marketing Alliance is a new industry association for performance marketing professionals. The goal of the Performance Marketing Alliance is to raise the visibility and credibility of performance marketing.
The intent is to officially launch the Performance Marketing Alliance in January 2009 as a self-sustaining non-profit organization supported by membership dues, managed by a full-time professional staff and directed by volunteer industry leaders voted on to a board of directors.
The Performance Marketing Alliance is currently in the formation phase. Input is being gathered from performance marketing professionals (participate in interest surveys), and a process is being developed to vote in a founding advisory board, who will be responsible for developing and approving the association structure, as well as electing the board of directors. The current plan is to have the inaugural advisory board meeting in August 2008, around the time of Affiliate Summit East. The official association launch will be in January 2009, around the time of Affiliate Summit West.
